Cove without a word

Her satin gown pools on the tiled floor
a midnight ocean
sprinkled with the stars’ reflection
Dancing rhythmically to the waves’ beat
She is endless as the sea
sewn into her body
teeming with life, discoveries to make,
never alone in her waves
She crashes against the rocks
Her fullness spilling on the shore
The bubbles of foam pop
on the sharp grains
But she is the rhythmic pull
Tugging gently against the land
She is never gone for long, nor is the moon
And I sit reading, feet buried in the sand
She is the open book I know
With pages still unspoken
